Quote fromBrotherhood was way better than the original anime series. I haven't read the mangas.(I prefer just watching the animes, somehow. I know some consider this stupid because the mangas are ultimately 'way better than the animes', but I don't care. I read real books instead.:wink.gif: )Brotherhood was much more serious than the original.
I remember I was reading volume one of the manga, and my sister saw it, and because Japanese and manga is read right to left, she kept saying 'Daniel reads backwards books because he's stupid!' Well, I've only finished the original anime. I've seen one random episode of Brotherhood and didn't understand any of it, and I read the first eight books of the manga and started to see the divergence from the series (but my library didn't have the rest of the books).I know everyone here's going to rage at me and I know that it isn't fair because I didn't see all of it, but I honestly prefer the original anime.
It's mostly because I grew up with the anime, and as such I'm not used to the differences in the other versions. It's like hearing a cover of one of your favorite songs and hating it because it's not the same way you remember it. The cover could easily have been better, objectively, but it's just not the same (this goes as far as getting a little disgruntled when the radio doesn't skip a bit on a certain song like your scratched CD does).
